Apr 18, Best method I found was heating up the inner sleeve to the point where surrounding bushing got soft, then push the sleeve out with a screwdriver.
Once the inner sleeve is out, there is room for a saw blade (sawzall, hack saw etc.). A relief cut need to be made on the out sleeve, then the bushing can be hammered out with a screwdriver or bushtrimmers.buzzted Reading Time: 4 mins. Jun 16, I will be trying to remove my track bars bushing and ball joint.
Anyone has done this before and has some tips for me? Mostly on the Balljoint, because the bushing looks straight forward. I have a ball joint press and the ball joint and bushing in the freezer as we speak.

Jun 07, you have to take that sleeve out of the track bar bushtrimmers.buzz the rubber bushings have sleeves in them and when replacing with poly type, you take them bushtrimmers.buzz goes for leaf springs and all them.I changed mine and usually use a good air chissel and dent it in on one end for a starter bushtrimmers.buzz use the cutter bit and chissel right through it and they it usually come out when you get about half way Estimated Reading Time: 4 mins.
Mar 29, I all reality, the pressure should NOT be on the shank of the bolt.
When the bolt is tightened, it should squeeze the bracket and pinch the 2478 Belmont MA bushing in the rubber bushing and THAT holds the track bar tight.
That is why it needs to be torqued to ft/lbs or something ungodly. Looking for Blue seat for bushtrimmers.buzzted Reading Time: 6 mins.
Sep 19, PB Blast your bolts TONIGHT!Mine were stuck on and I had to use a 4' breaker bar and heat to remove them!!Lift the truck up some to take the weight off or it will be difficult to realign the track bar ends with bolts(not impossible).Heat the track bar ends and press them bushtrimmers.buzz new poly should be greased and pressed in(easier),then grease sleeve and install into new bushtrimmers.buzz the same. Jun 15, I pulled the bar out and used a drill and bit to drill through the rubber part to weaken the bushing, then drive out the center.
I then used a sawzall to score the remaining steel band in the track bar and drove it out with a punch. To replace i found the best parts are the napa 2 piece urethane. Each kit has the 2 sets of bushings for about
